Care Supervisor
The fundamental role of the Care Supervisor is to ensure that Care Professionals have one on one support in the field and new clients are onboarded and supported throughout their care journey.

The role of Care Supervisor is key. You will ensure that our Care Professionals are supported, and our clients and their loved ones are helped throughout their care journey.

You’ll be responsible for
- Managing and carrying out new client assessments with hourly clients.
- Supporting the Care Supervisor (Live-in) to carry out new client assessments with Live-in and Night clients.
- Writing detailed person-centred care plans.
- Conducting return to work meetings with Care Professionals when required, these will be allocated across the whole office team.
- Supporting the Care Co-Ordinator when required to ensure the effective rostering of hourly clients. Ensuring that the Care Professionals allocated have the correct skills and experiences to deliver the care and support expected and agreed.
- Ensuring that Care Professional Holiday allocation is encouraged throughout the year and managed effectively.
- Liaising with RCM regarding capacity for new clients or client uplifts.
- Managing Alerts on Birdie.
- Managing concerns or complaints efficiently before any escalation occurs.
- Managing and carry out regular spot checks, supervisions and competency reviews with hourly Care Professionals.
- Supporting the Care Supervisor (Live-in) to carry out regular spot checks, supervisions and competency reviews with Live-in Care Professionals when required.
- Mentoring and supporting hourly care professionals within probation period, feedback and sign off with RCM.
- Supporting the Care Supervisor (Live-in) when required to mentor and support Live-in care professionals within probation period, feedback and sign off with RCM.
- Monitoring all relevant aspects of the care management system to ensure compliance is maintained.
- Managing and complete 2-week care plan reviews for hourly clients.
- Managing and complete 6 monthly care plan reviews for hourly clients.
- Supporting the Care Supervisor (Live-in) to complete 2-week care plan reviews for Live-in Clients, when required.
- Supporting the Care Supervisor (Live-in) to complete 6 monthly care plan reviews for Live-in Clients, when required.
- Managing and update client care plans where required.
- Obtaining Feedback reviews through Homecare.co.uk.
- Providing care for new clients and cover care visits when care professionals are absent or there is a need for this.
- Supporting care co-ordinator with guidance on skill matching between clients and colleagues.
- Ensuring contracts and consent to care are in place for new clients that you bring on.
- Sending out client OPG requests.
- Supporting Care Professionals who are undertaking shadow shifts.
- Monitoring care logs and update relevant compliance documents where needed.
- Understanding the role of CQC and the requirements and expectations of a care provider.
- Carrying out hourly care visits as part of the team where there is a critical need.
Essential qualifications & experience
- Care Certificate
- Previous experience within the care sector.
- Full UK Driving License with Class 1 Business Use Insurance
- Confident use of care management and computer systems
- Good soft sales techniques
